Sam Reinhart left Florida's Game 2 win against the Carolina Hurricanes with a lower-body injury.

What happened?

The Panthers star took a big lower-body hit from Carolina's Sebastian Aho in the first period.

Reinhart did not return to the game after the hit.

Injury Update

Florida coach Paul Maurice did not have an update on Reinhart after the game, saying "He'll get looked at tomorrow".

Maurice added that he would have more information on Saturday.

The Panthers turned to a mix of Carter Verhaeghe and fourth-line forwards to fill in for Reinhart.

Filling the Gap

A.J. Greer, one of the fourth-line forwards, stepped up to fill the gap left by Reinhart.

Greer said "Obviously, hate to see a guy go down, and as a team and as a band of brothers, you pick everyone up".

Reinhart has four goals and seven assists in the playoffs this year, with 11 playoff points.

Team Response

Sam Bennett, a Panthers forward, said "We've had guys step up all year, and when guys go down, it's just someone else's opportunity to fill a bigger role".

Bennett added that everyone stepped up to help fill the massive hole left by Reinhart's injury.

Reinhart had a team-leading 39 goals and 81 points during the regular season.

The Panthers' win in Game 2 was a significant one, and they will look to continue their success without Reinhart.

Reinhart's injury will be a significant blow to the Panthers, but they have shown they can adapt to injuries.

The team will look to their depth players to step up and fill the gap left by Reinhart's injury.
